About Wallflower Studios

Since launching Boudoir by Wallflower in October 2010, Wallflower Studios has been completely re-focused.  We’re now Wichita’s top boudoir photography studio, and we are so grateful to our amazing clients for making that happen!  We used to shoot primarily weddings and seniors, but found that who we are as photographers centers around shooting women.  You can read all about that at boudoirbywallflower.com, but this site is here to showcase some of our other work outside of that.

We love shooting boudoir, but we also love getting landscapes, fine art, great couples, and whatever else inspires us.  We’ve had the amazing opportunity to shoot music videos in Atlanta and Ireland, and we had the greatest time working on those projects!  We’ve shot huge jewelry catalogs, lots of fashion work for local magazines, shot and designed fight posters, and pretty much everything in between.

The imagery on this site is just to show you some of the things we’ve been fortunate enough to do.  We don’t have pricing listed because our day-to-day focus is on our exploding boudoir business, but if you want to work with us on something, please get in touch!  We still take on limited engagements in other areas, and really enjoy a good challenge (especially when it involves travel!).

About Aaron and Christina

Believe it or not, we haven’t always been behind the camera.  It seems like every photographer out there has been holding a camera since they were born and photography has always been their passion…but that’s just not our story.

Christina is a dancer.  She has been since she was little, and that brought her to Wichita State University where she entered one of the most diverse dance programs in the area, subsequently graduating Summa Cum Laude with her BFA in Dance Performance.  She is trained to know the body, how it moves, and what makes it beautiful.

That’s where she met me (Aaron).  Aaron doesn’t know what he is.  We met in a ballet class while I was pursuing a Psychology degree, but making a living teaching and performing music.  By the time we were married, I was working as a graphic designer for a local company, but that wasn’t as creatively fulfilling as it seemed it would be.

So, we started Wallflower Studios in the Spring of 2008.  It was just a side-project, but something we hoped would grow into something awesome in the distant future.  In February of 2009, the company I (Aaron) worked for folded and Wallflower Studios became a very real thing.  Two years and two months later, with Boudoir by Wallflower taking off, Christina was able to leave her job as a paralegal for one of the country’s top defense attorneys and we are now both in the studio (which is conveniently located in our home) full-time.

We never really intended to be full-time professional photographers, and certainly not boudoir photographers.  It just all seemed to fit.  We love making beautiful images and our backgrounds in the arts pushed us in the right direction.  From there, a lot of learning and training and constant bettering of our work has brought us to where we are now.

We love what we do, and we love getting to do it together.  Enjoy the site, and if you think we might be a great fit for your project, give us a call!  We’ll grab a cup of coffee or a drink (depending on the time of day, right?) and talk about it with you.
